How grade calculation works
The calculator computes the current course grade from weighted components: quiz average × weight + exam average × weight + participation × weight. A 90 quiz average (20%) and 75 exam average (80%) yields 78.
Weights from the syllabus
Each component's weight — homework, quizzes, midterm, final — comes from the syllabus and must sum to 100. The calculator's weighted inputs match the standard gradebook structure.
